It was an emergency situation requiring that Mr. Harold Kenner to rush to the plant to deal with it without any warning.  Mrs. Kenner was away so he needed to get a sitter for his eleven-year-old son, Adam, immediately. Their usual sitter was not available but Mr. Kenner called on Ms. Valerie Rugg who had an ad in the local paper.  Mr. Kenner felt fortunate that she was available without notice.  She arrived only a few minutes later and he rushed off to deal his emergency.
