The Obsessive-compulsive Goldie's Encounter with the Bruins

By

Goldie was lost in the wood.  It was not entirely his fault but that of his classmates.  Although physically attractive, he was not really liked and they managed to ditch him that morning.  Goldie's problem was that he was different and saw life differently than the other boys.  It was now two hours since he was separated from his classmates and he was getting worried about finding his way out of the woods.  He was also hungry.

Then he saw the little cottage across the meadow as he stumbled through the woods.  He even saw whiffs of smoke drifting from the chimney.  He sighed with relief.  He headed for salvation as fast as he could.

The door was open.  Actually, it was jammed halfway having been pulled from one of the hinges.  He went inside.  It was not Valhalla!  It was more like purgatory; but any port in a storm.  The place was a mess.  It needed sweeping.  A chair was broken.  Three beds unmade and sorely in need of a change.  On the table were three bowls.  The smallest had a small amount of bad porridge which he immediately ate.  The middle size bowl had cold porridge which was totally inedible.  The third bowl was empty except for crusted remnants of yesterday's porridge but there was a pot on the fire with the porridge far past being too hot as it was totally burnt.  Goldie practically swooned at the sight of the kitchen sink.  Fortunately they did not have a bathroom but only an outhouse he thought. © by Y Lee Coyote

"This place is a total disaster!" explained Goldie out loud.  He set to work.  He could not abide such a mess.  He washed and, after finding a clean towel, dried the dishes.  He put the chair back together.  He swept the floor.  He laid out four place settings on the table.  Stripped the beds, made them with fresh linens and put the soiled stuff by the wash tub.  He put Junior's toys in the chest.

By then he was exhausted and too tired to eat.  He went into the boy's bed room collapsed on the bed.  He was asleep in seconds.© YLeeCoyote

Some time later the Bruin's returned home.  They were shocked!  At first they thought they were in the wrong house for it was so neat and clean.

"My chair been fixed." yelled Junior.

"The house has been cleaned." said a pleased Mama after looking around.

A little latter, Junior yelled once again.  "Someone's in my bed."  Papa and Mama rushed it and the noise woke Goldie.  Papa demanded an explanation and Goldie, politely explained his problem and asked for forgiveness for intruding.  Then he suggested that they continue over lunch which Papa agreed to.

Goldie made lunch.  For Papa he made a hardy meal fit for a working bear – a small steak with (low fat) boiled potatoes and a stein of brew.  For Mama, a nice green salad with cottage cheese (as she was worried about her figure).  For Junior and himself fresh waffles from scratch with milk and honey.

Papa was quite impressed with young Goldie.  They sat and chatted on the porch while Junior did some homework and Mama did the dishes and set the laundry to soak.  When the four of them were on the porch, Papa tended to some family business.

"Junior, what did I promise you if you left your room in such a mess again?"

Junior looked very unhappy, took a step backward and whispered: "A spanking, Papa."  He very much wished that he was elsewhere.  He took another step back.  His rump was still hurting from this morning's spanking for swinging on the door and jumping on the chair damaging both.

"Mama, what have we agreed about your sloppy housekeeping?"

Mama did not like this conversation any more than Junior did.  She hesitated a bit and confessed that she had not lived up to her promises to change her ways.

"Junior, get your paddle."  As unhappy as he was he knew that he must do it quickly.  He dashed to his room and got the paddle.  When he returned to the porch he showed the paddle to Goldie as directed.  It was one of those cutesy things with the very corny slogan: "For a little bare behind" with a picture of a little human with his drop bottom pj's dropped.

As Goldie studied the paddle, Papa took Mama over his lap and began to spank her.  With her thick fur he had to hit very hard to make a lasting impression.  He was up to the task.

SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!

Mama felt it and was howling.  Soon she was promising to do the housework as she should.  As she should every single day.

SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!  SPANK!!

As soon as Papa let her up, she ran into the house and to the bedroom.  There she had a long cry while lying on the bed.

Then Goldie spoke.  "Your turn, Junior." and pulled the surprised youth over his lap.  He got a good grip about Junior's waist and tapped his bottom with the paddle.  It was a light tap but since that bottom had been spanked only a few hours ago Junior winced.  Goldie raised the paddle and brought it down hard on the sensitive rump.

WHACK!!

"OOOOOWWWWWWWW" howled the struck bear.

WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!  WHACK!!

Spoke that paddle over and over.  Junior was howling like a coyote at the moon.  Goldie was having a lot of fun and then Papa decided it was enough and stopped him.  Junior was sent to the corner to contemplate on his misdeeds.

Then Papa walked Goldie to his home in town and then went to the hardware store to get a new door hinge.

The End
